The Idea for RaceWatches.com came about one sunny, summer day at the local racetrack. After a practice session I looked down and found that my high priced, famous name watch had ceased to function. I had to spend the rest of the day asking people for the time so as not to miss my track sessions and the driver's meeting. I then purchased an inexpensive watch in town that evening to have for the next day and, you guessed it, it failed as well after a short time on track.
One weekend and two watches down. With one in the trash the other at the jewelers for an expensive repair the team and I sat down and talked about watches and reliability. From this discussion arose the inspiration of Racewatces.com.
